Program: Family Literacy Events at the Elks Sunday Nov. 6, 1:00- 4:00 Sponsored by the community partnership for children. The library will staff a table with information on books, programs and library cards. 

Community Reading Day in the Athol- Royalston School District
for grades Pre-K to 4 n Monday, November 14
and Grades 5-8 on Tuesday, November 15 . The YA and children's staff will bring community members, parents, grandparents and kids into the school to talk about the importance of reading. The library staff will be involved in providing a book that can be kept in the classroom.

The Athol Public Library is the site of the MA Humanities FAIR program - Family Adventures in Reading which brings families together to explore and enjoy literature. The final program will be held on Sat. Nov, 12 form 1:00 -2:30. Professional storyteller Tim Van Egmond will read the two books for the day and lead a discussion of the themes of these books. A related activity and refreshments are included in this free family program.

Holiday Traditions is scheduled for Saturday November 26 from 2:00- 3:30 p.m. Families will share and read a couple of stories and each family member will be invited to create a quilt square on paper that represents their family tradition. Program:  All storytimes require the presence and participation of an adult with a child.  Registration is required for all programs except the Story Walk.
"Little Crawlers" Weekly story time for babies, not walking Tuesday, 9:30 am
" Little Walkers" weekly story time for walking children under 2. Wednesdays 9:30 am
" Super Storytimes" for children ages 4&5 Wednesdays, 1:15 pm
"Terrific Threes" for children age 2 Fridays 9:30 and 10:45 am

Evening Family Storytimes "Good things to eat" Monday, Novemver 7, 6:30 pm
Saturday Storytime "Only Caldecotts" Saturday November 26 at 10:00 am. 
Beginning Saturday November 26th at noon, along with the Community Partnership for Education, the library will be hosting a Story Walk through the library with the featured book The Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson. Everyone who completes the walk will be entered in a drawing for a prize basked. The first 30 walkers will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
