On December 3, 2025, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) reinstated all federal grants that had been terminated under Executive Order 14238, following a federal court ruling that permanently blocked the order as unlawful. With these 2 major developments, the MBLC will begin rebuilding its federal program and restoring critical support for libraries statewide. Read more at the link in bio.

Fitchburg`s Wallace Library celebrated a meaningful milestone this past week with a beam topping ceremony! Community members were invited to sign the steel beam before it was lifted into place 🏗️. It’s a moment that marks the city’s hard work, shared pride, and the next chapter of the new library rising into view 😊. The project is supported in part by an MBLC Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program Grant.
