Every Thursday evening, we’ll be showing stellar, award-nominated international films from recent years. All films are shown with English subtitles. Coffee, tea, and dessert will be served. Having rejected a marriage proposal from a man she doesn’t know, Indonesian high school student Yuni finds herself having to define her desires within a society attempting to prescribe her fate. She and her peers navigate the trials of adolescence while coming to terms with the rigid gender politics with which they collide.
