Welcome to the Cookbook Club! Everyone is welcome to join our friendly, informal group. Copies of the month's pick will be available one month prior to the meeting. Please register online or by calling the library and let us know what dish you will bringing to avoid duplication. Our pick for June is Brilliant Bites: 75 Amazing Small Bites for Any Occasion by Maegan Brown (The BakerMama). Bite-sized food is described by The BakerMama blogger Brown (Beautiful Boards) as "meant to be enjoyed in one or two mouth bites" and "eaten with your fingers or decorative food pick." These tiny treats can be used for snacking, for parties, or for children. The food presented here goes beyond the typical charcuterie board fare, and there are many unique and adorable recipe ideas. The book is divided into thematic sections, such as "Breakfast Bites" and "Dessert Bites" and also includes a selection of inventive cocktail recipes. While some of the recipes require slightly more finesse and the skills of someone with a degree of experience in the kitchen, most are pretty straightforward and simple, so they will not be intimidating to cooking or baking novices. The ingredients tend to be common items that can be found in standard U.S. grocery stores and won't require readers to hunt them down at specialty stores. The pictures are colorful and exciting as well.
