Description :

Children in grades 3-5 are welcome to join SHS student and published author Isaiah for an introduction to creative writing! Each week participants will learn about and practice different elements of writing. It is best to attend all 6 sessions, but those that can only attend a few are still welcome to join. Registration is required for each session. We know summer is busy, so participants are welcome to just attend one session if they are unable to attend all 6.  Lesson 1 - 7/2/25: Plot/Parts of a Story Lesson 2 - 7/9/25: Types of genres and writing styles (Fiction, nonfiction, persuasive) Lesson 3 - 7/16/25: POV and perspective Lesson 4 - 7/23/25: Strong descriptions- settings and mood Lesson 5 - 7/30/25: Building characters Lesson 6 - 8/13/25: Final run through + presentations sharonpubliclibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/creative-writing-workshop-3/
