Award-winning environmental journalist Sharon Udasin traces the ugly history of corporate greed, military impunity, and community devastation, based on her original reporting in four highly contaminated locations. Learn about how the people, who were also fighting for their own lives, took action to fix a broken regulatory system. Sharon will offer room for hope by shedding light on the science that is now breaking down bonds that were once deemed unbreakable. About the Author: Sharon has been reporting on water issues for 15 years. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 and MS from Columbia J-School in 2008. Sharon was selected for a Ted Scripps Fellowship in Environmental Journalism for the 2019-2020 academic year, and earned a SEAL Environmental Journalism Award in 2023.
