Description :

Ready to start learning how to pull together what you have learned about holding, finger placement, and following tab on the ukulele?  Curious what it feels like to strum a string and also sing along?  Join us for the beginner play along.  We will also review the basics for those who are brand new, but this will be an opportunity to actually play a song or two or three if you're ready for that too! No experience necessary BUT if you have come before this will be a little different that previous classes. Ukuleles provided or bring your own.  This program is ideal for adults, teens and children with a desire to learn and play, and able to hold an instrument and follow basic instruction. A craft will be provided for parents/caregivers with littles (who are not entertained with an ukule) Julie Stepanek lives in a pine forest in western Massachusetts where she raised a son and taught herself how to play the ukulele. She has been teaching and making music at libraries, preschools and senior centers throughout New England for the past twelve years. "I've been hiring Julie for nearly a decade... her music and energy radiate a free-spirited joyfulness that is contagious..." -Megan McClelland, Director, Youth Services at the Centerville Public Library, Barnstable Massachusetts rockportlibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/ukulele-beginner-play-along/
