A Timeless World: Figures and Faces - Artist Deborah Macy on display April 12 - May 30, 2025                                Deborah paints beautiful women in wonderful fabrics of vintage costume. She describes a uniquely feminine experience, her subjects moving from darkness into light, hinting at what will be. Perhaps seduction, a transition, loss of innocence, or merely a flight of fancy, may the viewer imagine what may be. The artist credits her study of sculpture from the live model at RISD as inspiration for her figurative work. Her admiration of artist Nelson Shanks' work led her to studio Incamminati in Philadelphia for a workshop with Jeff Hein, Ricky Mujica, and Natalie Italiano. She is a NRASCNY member of The Salmagundi Club, a juried member of CLWAC, of The North River Arts Society, and an elected member of the AAPL.
