Parents/Caregivers Registration for each session required. Session 3: Self-Compassion & Mindfulness for Families This session focuses on helping you develop self-compassion in the face of parenting challenges, while also learning simple mindfulness tools to help both you and your child regulate emotions, reduce stress, and build healthier coping strategies. This program is a 4 week long support group for parents and caregivers. Each session will cover a different topic and requires separate registration. Please note childcare is NOT provided at each session. Join Dr. Sejal Prajapati, PsyD, for a powerful and supportive parenting program designed to help families navigate the challenges of raising children while building emotional resilience, healthy coping skills, and strong parent-child connections. This program is especially beneficial for families who have experienced stress or trauma, and aims to reduce long-term risks such as substance use by strengthening protective relationships and skills. Each session includes practical tools and reflective exercises to help you create a parenting approach rooted in mindfulness, values, and compassion—while promoting your child’s long-term well-being. Presenter Bio: Dr. Sejal Prajapati is a clinical psychologist, business owner, professor, and devoted mother who is revolutionizing resilience-based mental health care. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology (PsyD) from Kean University and has dedicated her career to developing self-compassion-driven, trauma-informed interventions that make mental health care more accessible, impactful, and culturally responsive. Dr. Prajapati is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at William James College, where she teaches statistics and lifespan development while mentoring doctoral students in their research and professional development.
