Walk the Newton Cemetery & Arboretum's winding roads with their Staff Arborist to see nature right in the center of the city. This loop walk will include waterways, pollinators, trees, flowers, birds, reptiles, and more. Bring your camera, water, comfortable shoes, and plenty of questions. The tour will start at the Newton Cemetery & Arboretum, located at 791 Walnut Street, right around the corner from the Library. Use the main entrance to the Cemetery & Arboretum, and meet at the tent in front of the chapel. There is some parking at the Cemetery & Arboretum, and additional parking at the Library (330 Homer Street), as well as nearby street parking. This program takes place on Tuesday, June 17 at 10:30am, with a rain date of Wednesday, June 18 at 10:30am. In case of inclement weather, registrants will be notified via email. Founded in 1855, Newton Cemetery is one of the original "garden-style" cemeteries in the country. Now, 170 years later, at almost 100 acres and containing over 200 varieties of trees and shrubs, Newton Cemetery & Arboretum provides a picturesque place for beauty and quiet reflection.
