Have you considered joining a book club but donât know if you can make a long-term commitment? Our 3rd Tuesday Book Club may be just right for you! This group will meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, and registration will happen on a monthly basis. This means that folks can pick which meetings to attend based on their schedule and interest level. Priority registration for the next month's meeting will be given to those in attendance. Check the library website or circulation desk for each monthâs book pick, register for the next meeting, and pick up a copy of the book at the desk! For the near future, we will be reading fiction. Email Laura at lskorczeski@cwmars.org with any questions. This month's book is Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice For Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto. Copies of the book will be ready for pick up at the library starting the first week of August. For the first meeting of the 3rd Tuesday Book Club, we are reading Vera Wongâs Unsolicited Advice for Murderers! A lonely shopkeeper takes it upon herself to solve a [censored] in the most peculiar way in this captivating mystery by Jesse Q. Sutanto, bestselling author of Dial A for Aunties. Vera Wong is a lonely little old ladyâah, lady of a certain ageâwho lives above her forgotten tea shop in the middle of San Franciscoâs Chinatown. Despite living alone, Vera is not needy, oh no. She likes nothing more than sipping on a good cup of Wulong and doing some healthy detective work on the Internet about what her Gen-Z son is up to. Then one morning, Vera trudges downstairs to find a curious thingâa dead man in the middle of her tea shop. In his outstretched hand, a flash drive. Vera doesnât know what comes over her, but after calling the cops like any good citizen would, she sort of . . . swipes the flash drive from the body and tucks it safely into the pocket of her apron. Why? Because Vera is sure she would do a better job than the police possibly could, because nobody sniffs out a wrongdoing quite like a suspicious Chinese mother with time on her hands. boxlib.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/3rd-tuesday-book-club/
