Description :
Description: Whether hiking through a picturesque landscape or driving around town, one is often enchanted by the sights and the sounds of the environment. Yet most art exhibits focus on the visual senses when recreating a locale. In this multi-sensory exhibition, visual artist Lisa Nelson and sound artist Christopher Johnson marry sound and vision into one art experience. Biosketch: Based in Ayer, Massachusetts, Lisa Nelson has participated in art shows all over the United States, as well as in Mexico and Europe. Her work combines a diverse background in painting, printmaking, graphic design, and illustration with her interest in examining unique locations as well as the local flora and fauna, to see how they fit into the world at large. Currently, she is working on a series of paintings highlighting the beautiful and unique wildlife that can be found throughout the country. She is also deeply committed to promoting volunteerism and environmentalism through her work and is working with the Amphibian and Reptile Conservatory and other non-profits in her goal to encourage wildlife preservation.
